Buterin Unveils Roadmap to Enhance Ethereum User Privacy

Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has outlined a new roadmap to enhance user privacy on the network without waiting for major protocol upgrades. This proposal focuses on incremental yet impactful steps that developers and wallet providers can implement immediately.

The core idea is to shift toward default privacy in wallets and applications, including features like shielded balances, private token transfers, and address rotation per dApp. These tools could soon become standard in wallets like MetaMask and Rabby.

Buterin emphasized the importance of integrating existing tools like Railgun and Privacy Pools into wallet software. He also advocated for new standards like FOCIL (Fork-Choice Enforced Inclusion Lists) and EIP-7701 (native account abstraction).
