Buterin's Ethereum Empire Reaches New Heights

Vitalik Buterin is a renowned Russian-Canadian entrepreneur and co-creator of Ethereum, a blockchain platform for decentralized financial applications.

In 2012, he launched Bitcoin Magazine with Mihai Alisie, showcasing his early involvement in the crypto space. However, it was the creation of Ethereum that propelled him to global recognition.

In May 2021, Ether, Ethereum's native cryptocurrency, surpassed $3,000 per coin, making Buterin a crypto billionaire at just 27 years old.

This achievement was preceded by his receipt of the Thiel Fellowship in 2014, which awarded him $100,000 to pursue interests outside academia. The following year, he launched Ethereum with his developing team.
