Bybit Hires Former VARA General Counsel Peter Loo as Chief Legal Officer

Bybit has appointed Peter Loo as its Chief Legal & Compliance Officer. Loo brings over 25 years of experience in cross-jurisdictional finance and digital assets, having previously held senior positions at Barclays Capital and Amber Group.

At the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) in Dubai, Loo played a key role in developing the regulatory framework for virtual assets. Now, he will be applying this expertise directly to Bybit's operations.

Bybit CEO Ben Zhou expressed confidence in the hire, citing Loo's 'unique insights into regulatory needs and commercial objectives.'
