Bybit Storms UK Market with Compliant Tokenized Stock Trading
Bybit, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume, is making a significant move into tokenized stocks. After a tumultuous 2025 that included a security breach and a withdrawal from the British market due to regulatory issues, Bybit is signaling a bullish expansion into the UK. The company has partnered with London-based Archax to provide compliant spot trading and a peer-to-peer marketplace.
This move comes as the UK prepares to integrate crypto assets into its traditional financial framework by 2027. Bybit's entry into the tokenized stock market through partnerships with Backed Finance and Chainlink is bridging the gap between retail investors and institutional-grade assets, allowing users to trade major technology stocks like Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN), and Microsoft (MSFT) on-chain.
Bybit is also refining its decentralized ecosystem by discontinuing its NFT marketplace, Inscriptions, and IDO platform. The company is focusing on core innovations such as keyless access, decentralized yield, and multi-chain support for its wallet services.
