Bybit Taps Industry Veteran Ballard for Derivatives and Institutional Business

Bybit has strengthened its derivatives and institutional trading business by appointing Sean Ballard as Head of Derivatives and Institutional Business. With over 25 years of experience in global financial markets, Ballard will focus on Bybit's trading infrastructure, risk frameworks, and institutional capabilities.

Ballard joins Bybit from Jump Trading, where he led the firm's high-frequency futures trading business across the US, EMEA, and LATAM. At Jump Trading, he managed investment portfolios and worked with exchanges and regulators on market structure, trading performance, and infrastructure developments.

In his new role at Bybit, Ballard will focus on institutional trading infrastructure, risk management, and product development. His experience in traditional finance and digital assets will support the company's efforts to develop infrastructure for institutional participation in digital asset markets.
