Gloria Steinem Dies at 92: A Pioneer of Feminist Activism

Feminist activist and icon Gloria Steinem has passed away at the age of 92. Her foundation announced her death in a social media post, stating that she 'passed away peacefully' at her home in New York City the day before.

The Women's Action Alliance co-founder was a celebrated writer and magazine editor who became the face of the women's movement in the 1970s. She also co-founded Ms. magazine, which focused on women's issues.

'Gloria’s greatest gift was her ability to listen to others,' her foundation said in a statement. 'Her words, actions, and example gave people permission to be their truest selves.'
