c-uWatt Yield Token Launched on Ethereum by Suno
c-uWatt, or Compounding uWatt, is a yield-bearing token issued by Suno, a protocol that tokenizes solar energy on Ethereum. Users obtain c-uWatt by staking uWatt, the base token of Suno, into its ERC-4626 staking vault. The yield from c-uWatt is generated through the increasing amount of uWatt that each share can redeem, with rewards distributed directly from revenue earned by Suno's solar projects and liquid investments.
The yield from c-uWatt is variable and vests over time. Unlike other staking mechanisms, c-uWatt does not rebase, and there are no separate rewards to claim. The token is issued on the Ethereum mainnet, and its bridged version, xc-uWatt, extends its functionality to other supported networks through Suno's LayerZero bridge. Each xc-uWatt is backed 1:1 by c-uWatt locked on Ethereum.
Staking and transferring xc-uWatt do not require on-chain KYC checks. However, redeeming the underlying uWatt through Suno's Desk involves verification and is subject to fees, liquidity constraints, and daily limits. Suno's eligibility terms continue to apply to all transactions involving c-uWatt.
