Venture capitalist Jason Calacanis recently called Bitcoin 'a dead cat' that continues to bounce, claiming it lacks strong utility in transactions or smart contracts and no longer captures the public's imagination.

However, Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood strongly disagreed, arguing that 'Bitcoin is not a dead cat, Jason! It has many lives ahead.'

Wood also pointed out that advanced AI models can be a double-edged sword for Bitcoin and emphasized its potential as a 'wealth insurance policy' that AI-driven growth investments cannot offer.

Others who opposed Calacanis' views include Strategy Inc. founder Michael Saylor, who highlighted Bitcoin's evolution since 2011 into an asset with a market capitalization of over $1.6 trillion, and Coinbase Global CEO Brian Armstrong, who referred to it as 'Digital Gold.'
