Canaan Mines 46 Bitcoins in July Amid High Hashrate Operations
Canaan Inc., a leading provider of high-performance computing equipment, released its July mining output and treasury holdings. During the month, Canaan mined 46 bitcoins.
The company's North American non-joint venture fleet achieved an average miner efficiency of 17.9 J/TH in July, while joint venture operations increased operating hashrate to 4.20 EH/s and installed hashrate to 4.85 EH/s after disruptions from a wildfire at the Alborz facility.
Canaan operates 12 active mining projects globally with total operating computing power of 14.24 EH/s and installed computing power of 14.89 EH/s as of July 31, 2026. The company has paused mining operations in Ethiopia but retains its installed capacity.
On August 4, 2026, Canaan authorized management to monetize a portion of its digital asset treasury to fund repurchases of American Depositary Shares under an existing share repurchase program.
