Canada's 3iQ Partners with Bhutan's GMC on Digital Hub

Canada's 3iQ Corp has partnered with Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) in Bhutan to develop a digital offshore financial hub.

The partnership will also see 3iQ manage a bitcoin-backed mandate from the South Asian kingdom, which allocated as much as 10,000 bitcoins from national holdings last December.

This move is part of Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck's plan to support the development of GMC into an economic hub centered on mindfulness, sustainability, and innovation.

According to GMC, 3iQ was chosen for its reputation for 'institutional robustness' and track record in digital asset management.
