Canary Files Amended PEPE ETF Application with SEC
Canary Capital Group LLC has moved its PEPE ETF application forward, filing a pre-effective amendment to the fund's Form S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on October 2.
The amended filing sets out how the Canary PEPE ETF would hold PEPE Coin, the token behind the Pepe the Frog meme, and confirms the shares are expected to list on the Cboe BZX Exchange.
According to the trust structure outlined in the amended filing, the fund's investment objective is to track the price of PEPE Coin held by the fund, less operating expenses, with its net asset value calculated against the CoinDesk PEPE Benchmark Rate 60m NY Rate.
The fund is organized as a Delaware statutory trust, and the amendment was signed by Canary chief executive Steven McClurg.
