Capital B Adds Five More Bitcoins to Treasury
Capital B has continued to build its Bitcoin holdings by purchasing another five coins for €280,000. This brings its strategic treasury total to 3,145 BTC.
The company acquired these five Bitcoins at an average price of €55,882 each, increasing the total acquisition cost to €284.2 million. The current net value of the Bitcoin reserve stands at around €170.9 million, leaving a shortfall of approximately €113.3 million below its acquisition cost.
Capital B has been using equity issuance to fund its accumulation strategy, and this purchase follows the company's earlier accumulation in May when it deployed newly raised capital to buy 192 BTC. The latest acquisition was funded by raising approximately €301,460 through Capital B's ATM-type agreement with French asset manager TOBAM.
The company's year-to-date 'BTC Yield' stands at 2.14%, while its quarter-to-date yield is at 0.28%. It's worth noting that the company calculates this metric as a change in Bitcoin held per fully diluted share, rather than traditional investment returns or operating income.
