Capital B Raises $8.8M for Aggressive Bitcoin Treasury Expansion
Capital B, an Euronext Growth Paris-listed company that rebranded from The Blockchain Group last year, is on a capital-raising tear. Its latest equity raise totals $8.8 million and aims to stack sats at institutional scale.
The company has been aggressively accumulating Bitcoin, with its treasury holding 3,145 BTC as of August 17, 2026. This represents a total acquisition value of €284.2 million, with an average cost basis of €90,352 per Bitcoin.
Capital B's goal is to accumulate 15,000 BTC by the end of 2027, with its latest raise targeting holdings of up to 3,415 BTC by year-end. The company has been running a version of the playbook popularized by Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy, issuing equity and using it to buy Bitcoin.
Notably, Capital B counts Blockstream CEO Adam Back among its key backers, along with French asset manager TOBAM. These supporters suggest that future capital reserves could exceed €100 million from warrants alone, providing a substantial runway for additional BTC purchases.
