Capricor Stock Jumps on Deramiocel Data Release
Capricor Therapeutics (CAPR) stock saw a significant jump in late trading on Tuesday after the company released longer-term data on its Duchenne muscular dystrophy treatment, deramiocel.
The new Phase 3 data showed that out of 106 HOPE-3 trial patients, 82 reached the 24-month mark. This data is now incorporated into the company's FDA application.
Deramiocel had already met its primary endpoint at 12 months, slowing upper-limb deterioration by 54% compared to placebo.
The FDA's decision on deramiocel is still pending, with a PDUFA date of November 22. This latest data may have a positive impact on the company's chances for approval.
