Capricor Stock Soars on HOPE-3 Poster Debut at World Muscle Society Congress
Capricor Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: CAPR) shares surged 13.54% to $9.73 in Wednesday's pre-market trading, building on a sharp move that began after Tuesday's session.
The stock closed at $8.57, down 1.61%, before rising to $10.28 in after-hours trading. The jump comes as the World Muscle Society (WMS) opened its virtual congress platform to registered delegates, featuring Capricor's late-breaking HOPE-3 open-label-extension poster on Deramiocel.
The WMS presentations report skeletal-muscle and cardiac outcomes through 24 months, building on 12-month HOPE-3 efficacy data that Capricor and FDA reviewers have evaluated using different statistical approaches. The published 12-month HOPE-3 analysis reported a 54% slowing in upper-limb decline with Deramiocel versus placebo.
The FDA already has the 24-month HOPE-3 analyses, which were submitted as part of a major amendment to the Deramiocel Biologics License Application. The amendment also asked the FDA to consider a refined proposed indication focused on upper-limb function.
