Cardano's ADA token has broken out of its long-term descending trendline, trading at $0.1936 on August 4 after a 24% weekly gain.

The breakout comes as Emurgo, the company behind Cardano's enterprise adoption efforts, stepped back from two governance roles to focus on recovering assets affected by the SecondSight security incident.

According to Santiment, ADA has reached its highest price since July 4, with a market cap up 24% over the past week. This growth is accompanied by a decrease in holder counts, indicating that stronger buyers are absorbing supply while retail confidence remains low.
