Cardano ADA Surges 8% as Dijkstra Era Kicks Off
Cardano's ADA token has seen an impressive 8% price surge over the past 24 hours, reaching around $0.20 and extending its weekly rally.
This comes after a series of network upgrades and developments, including the successful activation of the Van Rossem hard fork on July 18, which marked the beginning of the Dijkstra era for Cardano's next major protocol phase.
The development roadmap includes Nested Transactions, Linear Leios, and Peras technologies developed under the Ouroboros Leios research initiative, with Nested Transactions and Linear Leios expected to reach the Cardano mainnet by the end of 2026.
Alongside technical upgrades, governance progress has continued, including a new parameter update action available for community voting and an on-chain Constitutional Committee election.
