Cardano Breaks Multi-Year Resistance as x402 AI Payment Integration Goes Live
Cardano has joined the x402 software stack, enabling AI agents to pay for online services using ADA. The integration supports TypeScript and will add Python support in a later stage.
The payment facilitator has only been tested on Cardano's pre-production network, not mainnet, but this marks an important step towards large-scale commercial ADA payments by autonomous agents.
Cardano joins Solana and XRP Ledger in the race to support machine-to-machine payments. Analyst Sssebi noted that ADA is breaking a multi-year resistance area, calling it a potential major reversal.
