Cardano Developer Activity Surges by 60% Amid Growing Demand
Cardano's (ADA) developer activity has seen a significant surge, mirroring growing demand on Spot markets. This comes as the project added a crucial software kit, originally coded by Coinbase's developers, to make AI-agentic payments seamless on its Layer-1 network.
The x402 software kit allows on-chain robots to pay in Cardano's native ADA token across ecosystem-compatible decentralized applications (dApps). Network addresses active on Cardano have increased by roughly 60% in a day, jumping from 14K to over 22K, according to DefiLlama's stats.
This rise in developer activity is accompanied by growing trading volume and transaction counts. Daily trades on Spot markets reached $807,231,911, while the overall total value locked (TVL) jumped by 4.95%. Derivatives markets have also seen increased activity, with leveraged traders generating over $938 million in trading volume.
The Open Interest (OI) rate has risen by 4.11%, with more than $606 million in unsettled leveraged bets on ADA price. Bears were liquidated for $2.49M out of a $3.28M daily total, indicating increased market participation.
