Cardano Founder's AI-Generated Video Promises Double Wealth in Scam

Cardano's IOG has warned users to avoid its YouTube channel after it was compromised by scammers. The attackers livestreamed a video of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, but with some key differences.

The video, which appeared on the channel for nearly two hours, featured an AI-manipulated version of Hoskinson promising to 'double your wealth' if viewers followed a link to a QR code.

IOG has urged users not to interact with its YouTube channel until further notice. The company advised against clicking links, sending funds or sharing personal information in response to content on the channel.
