Cardano Golden Cross Imminent as Altcoin Rotation Continues
Cardano's (ADA) daily chart is nearing its first golden cross of 2026, a technical signal that could indicate further gains for the altcoin. The 50-day moving average is about to cross above the 200-day moving average, which would be ADA's first such case this year.
The market's focus is less on the technical signal itself than on how it coincides with recent upswings in altcoins. As bitcoin (BTC) moves sideways, funds have shifted into some altcoins, and ADA has benefited from that trend. The Altcoin Season Index was shown at 58 by CoinMarketCap.
According to U.Today, a blockchain outlet, Cardano's daily 50-day line is rising steadily. If the golden cross is confirmed, it would be a significant development for the altcoin, which rose as high as $0.92 in August 2025. However, the medium- to long-term trend remains mixed, with a dead cross completed on the weekly chart in May 2026.
The near-term target prices from the current area were cited as $0.28 and $0.30. A scenario was also mentioned in which $0.42 could come into view if buying pressure strengthens further. However, there is no guarantee a golden cross will immediately lead to further gains, and ADA's price could remain in a range or move sideways without a clear direction.
