The Cardano x402 integration has enabled API payments in ADA and Cardano-native tokens using standard web requests, eliminating the need for accounts, API keys, or subscription plans.

This integration allows applications and autonomous AI agents to pay for API calls directly on the Cardano blockchain, using a signed transaction as payment proof.

The x402 protocol uses the HTTP status code 402 'Payment Required' to signal payment requests, which is then verified by the server before delivery.

This integration supports Cardano's mainnet and testnets, including preprod and preview environments, for developer experimentation.
