Cardano Integrates with X402 Standard for Seamless ADA Payments

Cardano has joined the x402 payment standard, allowing developers to enable AI agents to use ADA or Cardano's native token for online services. The x402 standard converts the '402 Payment Required' response into an in-built checkout process within internet requests.

The service provider returns a price and payment instruction, which is signed by the proxy, and then verified before receiving the desired data or computing power.

This means AI agents can now purchase individual data sets on demand without manual account registration, bank card input, or subscription fees.
