Cardano Joins x402 Software Kit with ADA Support

The Cardano Foundation has added support for ADA to the x402 software kit, allowing developers to build apps and AI agents that can pay online services in the token.

This move brings Cardano to a growing list of 13 networks supported by x402, including Ethereum-compatible chains, Solana, and XRP Ledger.

The facilitator behind this functionality has only been tested on a test network and not on the mainnet. However, it has passed 166 unit tests and successfully completed a real on-chain transaction on Cardano's pre-production network.

Cardano support is currently available in TypeScript, with Python support scheduled but without a given date.
