Cardano Launches x402 Software Suite for AI-Powered On-Chain Payments

Cardano has launched the x402 software suite for AI and crypto news applications, enabling developers to build apps that support on-chain payments in ADA and Cardano network tokens. The tool is derived from MetaEra and allows AI agents to make transactions for online data, computing resources, and other services.

The Cardano Foundation has finalized the specifications and developed the client, server, and Facilitator components necessary for transaction validation. TypeScript support is currently available, with Python support planned for a future release.

While the Facilitator has been tested on pre-production, it has not yet been deployed on mainnet.
