Cardano Leios Takes Aim at Higher Throughput as Remittix Tackles Everyday Payments
Cardano's focus on increasing its network capacity through Leios is drawing attention to its next-generation scaling technology. This effort involves parallel block-processing architecture, which could allow for more efficient processing of transactions while maintaining the security-focused design of the base layer.
The potential benefits of higher capacity are numerous, including increased room for developers to build decentralized applications, stablecoin and real-world-asset applications, as well as identity solutions. However, it is essential to remember that throughput only becomes valuable when people have reasons to use it.
Remittix is addressing this issue by focusing on the adoption equation from a different angle. Instead of starting with how many transactions a blockchain can process, Remittix begins with what users actually want to accomplish with their crypto. The project's PayFi payment layer allows users to send supported cryptocurrencies while recipients receive local fiat through bank accounts.
Remittix is part of a broader ecosystem that includes Markets, a perpetual trading platform for hundreds of cryptocurrencies, and Wallet, a mobile gateway to the project. Additionally, the planned Remittix Earn product aims to introduce project-promoted yields of up to 22% APY on qualifying digital assets.
Remittix's token, RTX, is currently available at $0.21 before the next listed stage at $0.23, with the presale approaching 90% completion. The fixed 1.5 billion-token supply and CertiK-audited contract add structure as the ecosystem moves closer to public trading.
