Cardano Marks 9th Anniversary with Record-Breaking Transactions and Governance Milestones
Cardano has reached its ninth year in operation, marking significant growth and milestones. The Cardano Foundation announced that the network has recorded over 123 million transactions and more than 13.9 million blocks since its launch.
The blockchain's proof-of-stake network now supports 2,890 stake pools, with governance participation reaching thousands of votes across different decisions. The network's constitution was ratified on-chain by its community, demonstrating a high level of engagement and participation from users.
In another significant development, Cardano has joined the x402 SDK, enabling automated payments for applications and AI agents. This integration allows developers to build Cardano payment options into x402-powered applications, removing manual steps from transactions and providing a more seamless experience for users.
