Cardano Marks Six-Year Anniversary of Shelley Hard Fork
Cardano has marked the six-year anniversary of its Shelley hard fork, which introduced staking to the network.
The upgrade made stake pools, delegation, and decentralized block production permanent features on Cardano's blockchain.
As of now, there are 2,882 active stake pools with a total of $21.56 billion ADA ($0.16 each) being staked.
In the lead-up to its planned Lelos transition in 2026, Cardano is testing a new scalability model on its Musashi Dojo testnet.
