Cardano No Longer Guaranteed for Input Output Products
Charles Hoskinson, founder of Input Output, said Cardano is no longer automatically chosen for his company's products. This decision stems from a recent treasury vote that rejected funding for Pogun, an Input Output-backed credit and liquidity product.
The proposal offered Cardano a 20% share of quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, as well as a perpetual 5% return on Cardano-related products. However, the delegated representatives (DReps) voted against the request, with only 35.67% in favor and 64.33% against.
Hoskinson still believes that Cardano is the strongest technical choice for Bitcoin DeFi connecting systems, but he has changed his approach to choosing networks for Input Output's products. He now prioritizes 'technical and commercial fit' over a Cardano-first policy.
