Cardano or XRP: Which Cryptocurrency is a Better Long-Term Hold?
Cardano (CRYPTO:ADA) and XRP are two cryptocurrencies that have fallen below $2, leaving investors wondering which one is a better long-term hold until 2030. While Cardano has shown stronger gains in recent months, it has lost nearly 70% of its value over the past year, compared to XRP's 46% decline.
XRP, on the other hand, boasts a significantly larger market capitalization, with approximately $97 billion, and about 63 billion coins in circulation. In contrast, Cardano's roughly 37 billion ADA are valued at around $9.4 billion. This difference means that large buy orders in XRP can be executed with less impact on its price.
Both cryptocurrencies continue to add to their supply, but XRP has a capped supply of 100 billion, with Ripple unlocking up to 1 billion XRP from escrow each month. If Cardano reaches $2, it would have a market cap of about $74 billion, while XRP would stand at around $126 billion.
