Cardano's decentralized exchange (DEX) trading activity has come back down to earth after a brief surge, but its price remains above $0.21.

Daily trading volume on Cardano-based DEXs peaked at around $56 million on August 22, according to data from DeFiLlama, before dropping by about 98% over the following days.

The chart shows that this recent activity was an exceptional move, as daily volumes generally remained below $5 million from April through early August.

As a result of this decline in trading volume and futures open interest, some traders may have reduced their ADA holdings after the price move it saw.
