Cardano Price Slumps Despite Listing on Sony-Backed Exchange

Cardano's ADA token has been trading at around $0.20 over the past week, down 8.9% from its value seven days ago. This decline comes despite the listing of ADA on Sony-backed exchange S.BLOX on August 24. The Midnight network's NIGHT token was also listed on the same day.

The exchange, S.BLOX, is a subsidiary of Sony Group and has enabled trading of ADA and NIGHT tokens since its launch. However, the price response to this listing has been negative, with ADA falling by 8.9% in the week following the announcement.

Cardano's founder, Charles Hoskinson, acknowledged the listing, stating that securing liquidity and exchange listings in Japan presents notable challenges. He noted that Cardano took years to build meaningful Japanese market liquidity, making the S.BLOX listing significant for Midnight's regional expansion.
