Cardano Price Stuck in Range as On-Chain Flows Signal Ecosystem Expansion
Cardano's price has been stuck in a tight range of $0.20 to $0.23 for weeks, and market observers are looking for signs that could break this cycle.
A recent report from Decrypt noted that the cryptocurrency has repeatedly bounced between these levels without making a clear move above or below them.
The 20-day moving average and 50-day moving average are almost overlapping, which some see as a sign of a compression phase before a directional move. However, trading volume has not increased significantly, suggesting that neither buyers nor sellers are acting aggressively.
What's caught the attention of market participants is an increase in fees at a Cardano-based exchange and a proposal to allocate tens of millions of dollars worth of ADA to provide liquidity for DeFi applications on the network. While these changes haven't yet translated into price action, observers believe their follow-on effects should be watched in terms of ecosystem expansion.
Decrypt also noted that institutions tend to react more sensitively to factors such as regulatory compliance than retail investors do.
