Cardano Price Surges 10% on Ecosystem Upgrades and Institutional Interest
Cardano's price surged 10% in one day due to the launch of its development fund and Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol. The fund, worth 2.5 million ADA, is part of Project Catalyst aimed at supporting ongoing network development. This move has been accompanied by increased institutional interest in Cardano, with pending ADA spot ETF filings and preparations for potential U.S. submissions.
The ecosystem upgrades have fueled both institutional and cross-chain flows, according to analysts. They note that the price of ADA is currently trading above its 20- and 50-day moving averages, indicating short- and medium-term bullish momentum. However, it remains below the 200-day average, suggesting ongoing longer-term bearish alignment.
The technical indicators are mixed, with some pointing to a bullish setup while others highlight overbought conditions. The price of ADA has reached session highs, currently trading at $0.209, up $0.019 or 10% on the day following an upside gap of 0.53%. Analysts consider $0.232 a critical resistance level to monitor for potential upside breakouts.
