Cardano Price Surges 10.2% Amid ADA vs NIGHT Debate
The Cardano network's native token, ADA, saw a significant price surge of 10.2% to $0.268, hitting a fresh monthly high with a market cap of $10.083 billion, according to CoinGecko data.
The rally was sparked by a public debate between Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, and a critic of the Midnight token, which is built on the Cardano network.
Hoskinson fired back on X, defending Cardano and questioning the Midnight token's legitimacy, which led to a community rally for ADA and a subsequent price increase.
The debate, now being referred to as the ADA vs NIGHT debate, also saw the Midnight token's price drop by 8.4% to $0.04532.
Meanwhile, new partnership and development news for the Cardano network, including a Topper fiat on-ramp deal with SundaeSwap and Float, added fuel to the rally.
