Cardano Price Surges as Stablecoin Market Cap Hits $66.92M
Cardano (ADA) has experienced a significant price surge, climbing to $0.1995 after hitting a weekly low of $0.1911 on September 16.
This upswing is largely attributed to three key developments: the growing stablecoin market cap, which has reached $66.92 million; the Cardano Foundation's partnership with Mastercard's Crypto Partner Program; and Ouroboros Leios' impressive test results, demonstrating roughly 1,000 transactions per second.
The stablecoin market cap on Cardano is now led by USDCx, holding a 76.14% share, followed closely by USDM at 12.89%. This growth in stablecoins may enhance on-chain liquidity and drive more trading activity and DeFi engagement over time.
Ouroboros Leios, the next-generation consensus upgrade, is set to be rolled out on mainnet by November. If successful, this could mark one of Cardano's largest performance upgrades to date.
