Cardano Pulls Back After Breakout as Governance Ramps Up
The Cardano (ADA) price pulled back by 1.85% to $0.1859 on August 3, after its breakout from a weeks-long ascending triangle. This comes as governance activity ramps up with the Constitutional Committee election results published and a new parameter update open for stake pool and DRep voting.
The derivatives market saw a surge in volume of 49.92% to $799.59M, while shorts took $2.01M of the $2.45M in 24-hour liquidations following the breakout.
Cardano's development focus has shifted to the Dijkstra era following the van Rossem upgrade. The first phase brings Nested Transactions and Linear Leios to mainnet by end of 2026, with the next scaling upgrade Peras to follow after.
