Cardano Stays On Track With Dijkstra Roadmap
Cardano's development community is sticking to its roadmap for the Dijkstra era, confirming that the scope and timing of the network's most significant protocol transition remain unchanged. The upgrade will be delivered in two distinct phases, with the first targeting the end of 2026.
The first phase will introduce Nested Transactions and Linear Leios to the mainnet, giving developers an incremental path for deploying the new capabilities. Phase 2 will activate Peras through an intra-era hard fork scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.
Amaru, an open-source node implementation written in Rust, is being developed as an alternative to the established Haskell-based node software. The Amaru team has confirmed the node is now relay-capable, meaning it can validate network activity and synchronize with the blockchain tip.
