Cardano Transaction Activity Hits Seven-Day High Amid Renewed Interest in NIGHT
Cardano's network activity has seen a significant surge in recent days, with daily transactions reaching a seven-day high. According to blockchain analytics platform Chainspect, Cardano processed 33,467 transactions on September 30, a 43% increase from the previous week's average of around 23,400 transactions per day.
This marks the network's highest daily transaction count over the past seven days, with Cardano's overall transaction volume reaching approximately 190,000 for the week. The surge in activity coincides with renewed interest in NIGHT, the native token of Cardano's privacy-focused Midnight network.
NIGHT has seen a significant increase in trading activity and price following comments from Charles Hoskinson, who suggested that the token could outperform Zcash and experience massive growth next year. On September 30, NIGHT's price climbed to around $0.040, and it continues to attract attention with over 2,000 transactions recorded within hours of October 2.
Cardano's transaction activity has continued to rise beyond the September 30 peak, with a further 29% increase in daily transactions over the past 24 hours. The network has also seen an increase in decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume, with weekly DEX volume surging by 87.99% to $32.8 million.
