Cardano Whales Flock In as Van Rossem Upgrade Triggers ADA Price Recovery
Cardano's recent Van Rossem hard fork has sparked significant buying activity from whales, contributing to the recovery of ADA's price. According to Cardano Feed, a market analyst, whale purchases have surged in the past five days, with 240 million ADA tokens being bought.
The Van Rossem upgrade, which took place on July 19, upgraded the network to protocol version 11, introducing more scalable and cost-efficient smart contracts. The update also brought enhancements to Plutus smart contract functionalities, ledger effectiveness, and node security.
The hard fork marked the beginning of Cardano's next major development phase, the Dijkstra era, which aims to launch three key upgrades: Peras, Ouroboros Leios, and Nested Transactions. These upgrades will focus on resource management, transaction settlement, and scalability.
