Cardano’s ADA Surges 10% as Crypto Market Remains Range-Bound
Cardano’s ADA token has surged 10% in the past 24 hours, reaching its highest level since May. The surge comes as the broader crypto market remains range-bound, with Bitcoin and Ether posting only modest gains. ADA is now trading above 27 cents, outpacing major tokens like Bitcoin and Ether, which saw gains of just 1% and 0.5%, respectively.
The rally in ADA is attributed to the launch of Cardano’s RealFi product on October 1, which allows users to route stablecoins into institutional credit for yields of up to 9% annually. Additionally, anticipation of Cardano’s upcoming Dijkstra era, set to roll out between late 2026 and early 2027, is drawing investor attention. This upgrade aims to significantly increase transaction throughput with features like Linear Leios and nested transactions.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin continues to trade within its recent range of $84,000 to $87,000, despite leveraged long positions and options activity suggesting bullish expectations. The U.S. Dollar Index has also risen to 102.53, its highest level since April 2025, which could potentially pose challenges for the crypto sector. The stronger dollar is supported by elevated Treasury yields and ongoing bond-market volatility, as investors recalibrate Federal Reserve rate expectations following softer U.S. jobs data.
Smaller tokens like VVV, ENA, and PEPE have also seen advances, but the market leaders remain subdued. The broader market signals indicate a cautious sentiment, with the relationship between the dollar and crypto assets remaining inconsistent.
