Cardano's ADA Token Climbs Towards $0.30 on Strong Network Activity
Cardano's ADA token has seen significant gains in recent days, climbing nearly 28% over the past week. The price has reached as high as $0.26, with many analysts pointing to a Fibonacci target near $0.30 as a potential next step.
The integration of Cardano with the x402 payment standard has been cited as one reason for the recent price appreciation. This allows developers to build applications and AI agents that can pay for online services using ADA and native tokens.
Network activity has also increased, with active addresses on the Cardano network climbing 60% in a day and transactions reaching a weekly high of over 33,000. Derivatives activity has also contributed to the rally, with futures open interest reaching $578 million and bearish positions being forced to close.
The move above the 200-day exponential moving average is particularly significant, as ADA had spent months below this level. Fibonacci extensions place the next major target at $0.3021, putting $0.30 within reach.
