Cardano's ADA Token Reveals Its Origins Ahead of Ninth Anniversary

Cardano is approaching its ninth year since launching its network on September 23, 2017. The ADA token has revealed its origins, stating that it is named after Ada Lovelace, often considered the world's first computer programmer.

The Cardano Foundation also announced that the smallest unit of ADA is called a 'lovelace'. Furthermore, they mentioned that the name 'Cardano' is derived from Gerolamo Cardano, an Italian mathematician and philosopher. The foundation added that its roadmap will now be shaped by the community.

The integration of x402 on npm has been released, paving the way for ADA-based applications with HTTP payment support.
