Cardano's ADA Token Surges 19% as Dijkstra Era Drives Network Growth
Cardano's ADA token has experienced a significant surge in price over the past week, rising by 19% as trading activity and network developments strengthen. This rally comes after Cardano transitioned to its Dijkstra development era following July's Van Rossem hard fork.
The blockchain's new development roadmap allows it to fund core development directly through its treasury, which has added to expectations around future growth. At the same time, developers continue working on Ouroboros Leios, a planned upgrade aimed at increasing Cardano's transaction capacity and supporting higher network throughput.
Market activity has also picked up pace, with daily trading volume increasing by over 78% to roughly $747 million. The seven-day trading total reached approximately $3.5 billion. Meanwhile, large holders have accumulated more than 240 million ADA during the days surrounding the breakout.
