Cardano's Ecosystem Expands with New Connection and Governance Updates
Cardano's ecosystem has seen significant developments between July 30 and August 5th. One key development is the connection established between Cardano and Injective through the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol on the testnet.
This connection, announced by Injective, aims to allow ADA to enter their ecosystem while INJ becomes fully available on Cardano. The integration creates a direct cross-chain rail and represents another step toward improving compatibility with other networks outside its existing ecosystem.
Cardano developers have shifted their focus to the upcoming Dijkstra development era, following the completion of the van Rossem upgrade. Planned work includes Nested Transactions and Linear Leios, both targeted for mainnet implementation by the end of this year.
In another important update, Cardano has moved the election of its Constitutional Committee onto the blockchain, making voting easier to verify and more transparent. The committee is responsible for checking whether major governance decisions follow the Cardano constitution.
