Cardano's Institutional Pathway Expands with Fireblocks Support
Cardano has taken another step towards institutional adoption with its native tokens now supported on Fireblocks, a digital asset custody and transfer platform. The announcement was made by the Cardano Foundation, which stated that every exchange, bank, or fintech using Fireblocks will be able to custody, send, and receive Cardano Native Tokens (CNTs) with the same policy controls they already use for other assets.
The integration is a result of collaboration between the Cardano Foundation and three organizations: Emurgo, Pentad, and Iagon. This partnership demonstrates the growing trend of Cardano ecosystem partnerships working together on infrastructure-level upgrades.
Fireblocks' support for CNTs removes a common barrier to institutional adoption: the need to build brand-new compliance and operational workflows just to support one asset type. This integration tends to matter less for retail crypto users and more for institutions that move larger sums and answer to regulators or internal risk committees.
