Cardano's Official YouTube Channel Hacked in Cryptocurrency Scam

Cardano's official YouTube channel was hacked on September 18, with a fake cryptocurrency giveaway video appearing that used an AI-manipulated version of founder Charles Hoskinson.

The broadcast, which promised viewers they could 'double their wealth,' displayed a QR code and used Project Catalyst branding to make it appear as if the video was legitimate.

IOG warned users not to trust any videos or links appearing on the channel while efforts are underway to remove the fraudulent material and regain control of the account.
