Cash Cat Surges 32% in 24 Hours as DeFi Utility and Memecoin Activity Return
Cash Cat (CASHCAT) has been on fire lately, surging by an impressive 32% in just 24 hours. This puts it at the top of the charts among the top 200 cryptocurrencies by market cap.
The trading volume for CASHCAT also saw a significant increase, reaching over $40 million and representing a 65% surge. This growth has been reflected in its monthly gains as well, which have reached 88%, while its year-to-date (YTD) performance is an impressive 25,310%.
The turnaround for CASHCAT can be attributed to the introduction of a new DeFi utility on Morpho's platform on Robinhood Chain. This utility, known as CASHCAT/USDG with live yield incentives, was listed on Api3, a lending market on Morpho, at 62.5% loan-to-value (LTV). This development is attracting yield-seeking capital to the memecoin and creating buying pressure.
The sector's trading activity has also seen a resurgence, particularly after Arc went live. Memecoin launchpads drove over 80% of Arc's DEX volume on the first day, with launchpads accounting for $336.26 million and other DEXs contributing $74.56 million, totaling $410 million.
Technically speaking, the outlook suggests a retesting of CASHCAT's all-time high (ATH) of $0.3131 is possible. The price has broken above the 100 and 200 EMAs on the 4-hour chart following today's surge from $0.15. However, there are signs of declining buying pressure, which could impact its ability to reach this target.
