Cashcat Price Rally Hits Profit-Taking and Leverage Retreat

Cashcat's recent price rally encountered significant profit-taking after reaching an all-time high of $0.254 on August 26.

The correction led to a 12.52% loss in value, with trading volume falling by 18.43% to $64.79 million.

This downturn was not solely due to selling pressure, but also reflected a decrease in market participation and a shift towards Bitcoin exposure, as evident from the Altcoin Season Index falling to 35.

The index had previously been closer to 50, indicating a noticeable shift in investor sentiment for broader risk appetite.

Derivatives traders also reduced their outstanding Cashcat positions, with Open Interest down 3.32% to $62.67 million and funding rates dropping sharply from 0.33% to 0.0077%.
