CCIP 2.0 Powers $600T Onchain Interoperability Standard
Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 has gone live, bringing institutional-grade security and compliance to cross-chain finance. The system aims to secure the next $600 trillion in onchain assets by providing a neutral interoperability standard.
In contrast to legacy bridges that have been exploited for over $3.3 billion, CCIP 2.0 introduces custom Cross-Chain Verifiers (CCVs) deployed within Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud. These verifiers can be provided by enterprise operators such as Infosys and Nethermind.
The system also gives asset issuers more control over settlement, allowing for faster execution paths for high-frequency transfers while ensuring full finality and time-delayed approvals for high-value transactions.
Chainlink's ACE integration enables policy controls to be embedded directly into cross-chain transfers, including issuer-defined KYC, AML, sanctions screening, allowlists, and exposure limits. This marks a shift from treating compliance as something handled around infrastructure.
